Senior Level Shop Technician

Job Description
CRG Automation provides custom engineering of automated solutions for the packaging, material handling and manufacturing industries and is continuing to expand our capabilities. Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky we seek a focused Senior Level Shop Technician to join our team.
The Senior Level Shop Technician is a critical team member in the successful delivery of our projects. The ideal candidate will be versed in multiple part manufacturing and have experience in assembling, fabricating and troubleshooting automated equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assemble equipment from mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Align, fit, and assemble components parts.
- Execute routine maintenance, repairs and modifications of equipment.
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Safely operate equipment including forklift, band saw, mill, lathe, drill press and welding gear (if qualified).
- Other general shop duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma, AS/BS in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Technology is preferred.
3+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance.
Allen Bradley PLC experience highly desired.
Ability to interface in a professional manner with management and customers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate closely with peers.
Strong communication skills.
Skilled with the use of a variety of hand and portable tools, as well as general machining and welding.
Familiar with common workplace software such as MS Word, Excel.
Must own hand tools.
Some travel to customer sites may be required.
