We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to support our operations team by managing the flow of materials and ensuring accuracy across all inbound and outbound logistics.

Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining efficient material movement and inventory accuracy across CRG Automation’s operations. This hands-on position manages incoming and outgoing shipments, inspects materials, organizes inventory, and ensures production teams have the parts they need to meet project deadlines. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Identify and report damaged or incorrect items; coordinate resolution with the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Organize and store materials in designated inventory locations to maintain accessibility and traceability.
  • Pick, kit, and issue materials to production teams according to project assembly number and schedules.
  • Prepare outbound shipments, create shipping labels and bills of lading (BOLs), and coordinate pickups with carriers.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliation, and record updates.
  • Process returns and RMAs; manage documentation for supplier and customer shipments.
  • Support management of spare parts/aftermarket inventory and orders.
  • Maintain third-party work orders for components requiring additional processing.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Contribute to warehouse organization, cleanliness, and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong attention to detail with proven organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical drawings or bill of materials (BOMs) a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with ERP or inventory systems preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment.
