CRG Automation-Engineered Fulfillment System Featured in New FANUC Case Study
LOUISVILLE, Ky., Sept. 23, 2026 — FANUC, a global leader in industrial robotic solutions, has published a case study highlighting a warehouse automation project CRG Automation completed for Goose Creek Candle Company, a Kentucky-based home fragrance manufacturer. The project addressed fulfillment bottlenecks that had left the company with shipping backlogs of up to 21 days during peak season.
Goose Creek, founded in 1998 in Liberty, Kentucky, had outgrown the manual processes it relied on for years. As online orders climbed, associates were walking long distances each shift to pick and process product, and end-of-line tasks like palletizing placed heavy physical demands on the team.
As a FANUC Authorized System Integrator, CRG Automation was brought in to build a scalable fulfillment system that could increase throughput without adding headcount. The project began with improvements to pick lines and case-directing systems, then expanded to end-of-line pack out, case sealing, and robotic palletizing with a FANUC M-410iB. The resulting system automatically routes cases to the correct fulfillment zones and streamlines material flow across the facility.
The results came in phases. The first phase of improvements delivered a 40% increase in throughput. The addition of robotic palletizing added another 15 to 20% through improved labor utilization, while cutting employee walking distances by more than half. "If you're considering automation, I would pull the lever sooner rather than later,” said Aaran Taylor, Director of Fulfillment at Goose Creek. “It made a difference right off the bat."
