KAWASAKI Robotics, CRG Automation & Mujin to Showcase Innovative Mixed Palletizing and Depalletizing Solution at PackExpo 2024

Louisville, KY - CRG Automation, an award-winning industrial automation firm, is thrilled to announce its participation in PackExpo 2024, one of the nation's largest packaging shows, taking place in Chicago this November. With deep roots in the automation of secondary packaging, CRG Automation is excited to demonstrate its cutting-edge solutions alongside its esteemed partners, Kawasaki Robotics and Mujin.

As a longstanding partner of Kawasaki Robotics, CRG Automation will be featured in their booth (N-5723), showcasing a revolutionary mixed palletizing and depalletizing solution. This innovative system leverages Mujin's advanced robotics technology, which incorporates Machine Intelligence to execute the motion planning of the robot and to enable the handling of a variety of packaging and container types. This technology enables the system to navigate challenges without manual intervention and automatically generate new layer patterns, ensuring efficiency and flexibility in operations.

The demonstration will highlight the combined power of Kawasaki Robotics’ open programming platform, KRNX, and of the Kawasaki BX130 robot, powered by the MujinController platform intelligence, integrated with a BX130X robot, providing an unmatched solution for the complexities of modern packaging operations. Attendees will witness firsthand how this collaboration between CRG Automation, Kawasaki Robotics, and Mujin brings a new level of automation and innovation to the industry.

In addition to the palletizing and depalletizing solutions, CRG Automation will also be showcasing its newest product release, C-BAS (Corner Board Application System). Inspired by the famous line from Dumb & Dumber, C-BAS utilizes the Kawasaki RS007L robot and is capable of attaching Corner Boards up to 60 Unit Loads per hour. This allows for rapid and seamless placement, ensuring precision for a consistent palletized finished product. C-BAS offers versatility in handling various shapes and sizes of corner boards, all within a durable and reliable machine built to last.
