Our highly experienced team of engineers, fabricators, machinists and electrical controls specialists work closely together to fully execute design, fabrication, assembly, testing, and implementation.
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant and HR Administrator will oversee and manage the company’s financial operations and Human Resources functions. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll, assisting with employee onboarding, and handling benefits administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and have experience in payroll and HR processes, ensuring both compliance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Payroll Functions:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reports.
2. General Ledger Management:
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Oversee the setup of project budgets, tracking of labor, materials, and overhead costs, and regularly updating revenue forecasts and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules.
Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets.
4. Payroll Management:
Oversee and manage the company’s payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations, and coordinate with HR to ensure payroll changes are updated.
5. Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate and support external audits and tax preparation.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
6. Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage banking relationships.
Human Resources Functions:
1. Employee Onboarding:
Manage and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork, orientation, and training coordination.
Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws during the hiring and onboarding process.
2. Employee File Maintenance:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, tax documents, and benefits enrollment.
Ensure confidentiality and security of employee information.
3. Benefits Enrollment and Administration:
Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
Manage the annual benefits enrollment process and coordinate with providers to ensure employee benefits are properly administered.
4. Employee Relations and Support:
Provide support for employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies.
Assist in maintaining a positive work environment through effective communication and handling employee concerns professionally.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
Extensive experience in applying the percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition method in accordance with ASC 606 and IFRS 15 standards.
Successfully managed the calculation and allocation of revenue based on project milestones, incurred costs, and progress-to-date.
Experience in payroll management and human resources processes.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in MS Dynamics accounting software and Paycor payroll systems.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
