Located in Louisville, KY, our highly experienced team of engineers, fabricators, machinists, and electrical controls specialists work closely together to fully execute design, fabrication, assembly, testing, and implementation.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Representative with strong technical expertise and a passion for automation. In this role, you will identify, pursue, and close sales opportunities within the packaging and manufacturing sectors. Leveraging your problem-solving skills, you will work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and propose real-time conceptual automation solutions that improve their operations and align with CRG’s capabilities and expertise in automation technologies, robotics, conveyance systems, and custom automation controls will enable you to effectively communicate the value of our offerings and build confidence and lasting relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet or exceed sales targets

  • Identify and engage with potential clients through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.

  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand clients’ automation requirements and pain points.

  • Present and demonstrate CRG Automation’s products and solutions, highlighting the benefits of our robotics, conveyance, and custom automation solutions.

  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and technical presentations tailored to the client’s needs.

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing/shop, and project management teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and meet client expectations.

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing ongoing support and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

  • Manage and nurture past client opportunities with consistent engagement for potential future projects

  • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to position CRG Automation’s offerings strategically.

  • Utilizing Salesforce, you will track all sales activities, manage accounts, opportunities, sales pipeline, and the status of proposals, and provide regular reports to the sales manager.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven success in Outside Sales, preferably within the packaging, robotics, or manufacturing automation industry.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background and drug screenings.

  • Strong knowledge of robotics, conveyance, custom automation systems, and their controls.

  • Ability to understand complex automation systems and effectively communicate technical concepts to clients.

  • Ability to conceptualize technical solutions on the spot based on client needs.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a client-focused approach.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment to achieve sales objectives.

  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.

  • Mechanical aptitude and proficient problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organization and follow-through skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and a goal-oriented mindset.

  • Proficient in Excel, Windows, Outlook, Salesforce CRM, and other relevant software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, automation, robotics, or related technical fields.

  • Familiarity with PLC control systems and integration of automation solutions.

  • Experience in managing complex sales cycles with a consultative approach.
