CRG Automation Honored Among Best Places to Work

Louisville Business First recognition is among many for company in recent months

JUNE 6, 2022LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — Louisville Business First today honored CRG Automation among the Best Places to Work in Greater Louisville, adding to the company’s growing number of awards in recent months.

CRG Automation has grown revenue nearly 2500% over the past three years, earning the company a ranking of 172 in the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies. Other recognitions include being named among both Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas and annual list of Most Innovative Robotics Companies, as well as being honored on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 and Vet100 rankings for fast-growing veteran-owned businesses.

In just the past two years, CRG Automation has grown its team six-fold, attracting top talent by offering a rewarding work environment. Employees enjoy intellectual challenges on a daily basis as they solve customers’ most perplexing problems.

“We often talk about how our engineers like the kind of problems that leave other R&D teams scratching their heads or banging them against the wall,” said CRG Automation President James DeSmet. “That’s precisely why our team enjoys working here so much, and their efforts are why we’ve been able to grow so rapidly, even over the course of the pandemic.”

Research firm Quantum Workplace administered the Best Places to Work program for Louisville Business First and surveyed employees about workplace policies, office conditions, management styles and more. The publication selected honorees based on employee feedback instead of review by outside judges as is common in other award contests.

“Employees want to work for a company or organization that cares for their well-being, has perks and good benefits and where they feel engaged,” said Louisville Business First’s Allison Stines. CRG Automation is among those “that go to great lengths to make sure their employees achieve work-life balance and feel like their company is worthy to be a part of Louisville Business First’s Best Places to Work in Greater Louisville awards.”

CRG Automation, which continues to hire as the company aggressively expands, recently finished a complete renovation of its headquarters. A modern machine shop, the 40,000-square-foot facility features a controls and fabrication shop, plus the floor space required to set up and conduct performance testing for complete packaging and processing lines. The company’s quality work, attention to detail and flexibility have earned it the trust of some of the world’s leading organizations, including Coca-Cola, General Electric, the U.S. Department of Defense, Kellogg’s, Pillsbury, Kraft Foods, Reynolds, Heinz and Wild Turkey.
